Birdsongs Of The Mesozoic - The Iridium Controversy - 2003

Birdsongs of the Mesozoic comenzó como un proyecto de Roger Miller y Martin Swope, que eran miembros de la banda de Boston Mission of Burma. A ellos se les unieron Rick Scott y Erik Lindgren para su debut en la grabación de un EP en 1983. Con la disolución de la Mission of Burma, en este momento, Birdsongs del Mesozoico se convirtió en una banda a tiempo completo. El grupo lanzó el LP Magnetic Flip en 1985 y un EP Beat of the Mesozoic en 1986. Miller abandonó el grupo en 1988 y fue reemplazado por Ken Campo en el saxofón, teclados y percusión. Con la nueva línea de libertad grabaron Faultline y Pyroclastics. Swope abandonado el grupo y fue reemplazado por el guitarrista Michael Bierylo. Esta línea grabaron Dancing on A'A Birdsongs del Mesozoico desempeña una mezcla única de rock, punk, clásica, minimalismo y música de forma libre. Instrumentación es el piano, dos sintetizadores, guitarra, saxo y la percusión electrónica y acústica.

Bozzio, Levin & Stevens - Situation Dangerous - 2000

Situation Dangerous rescata la espontaneidad del "Síndrome Black Light", la primera versión del guitarrista Steve Stevens, el bajista Tony Levin y el baterista Terry Bozzio. Existe una asombrosa y refrescante química que transpira cuando estos tres complejos músicos juntan las almas. Stevens y Bozzio comparten un amor por los ritmos calientes pasión por el flamenco. Bozzio y Levin exponen con bastante frecuencia sus armas de ataque que muestran un espíritu profundo abstracto y poco frecuente en música de estudio. Y completar esta trinidad de conexiones gráficas, con Levin y Stevens ambos comparten una afición a explorar los avances tecnológicos para estar por encima de las limitaciones de los instrumentos tradicionales de cuerda. En última instancia, sin embargo, cada pista de Situation Dangerous, independientemente de la tonalidad, el color, la velocidad, el volumen o el nivel de ansiedad, es el producto de tres mentes legendarias convergentes en la música y en la difusión del conocimiento que poseen.
